Interim Head of IBGRL, Head of Red Cell Reference, International Blood Group Reference Laboratory, NHS Blood and Transplant.

Nicole is Head of the International Blood Group Reference Laboratory (IBGRL), in Bristol, UK. Nicole is an acknowledged expert in blood groups, blood group genetics, antibody identification and rare blood provision and is particularly passionate about promoting the need for a combined serological and molecular approach to solving the most complex immunohaematology problems.

Nicole is the Vice Chair of the ISBT Working Party on Immunohaematology, a member of the ISBT Working Party on Rare Donors and also the ISBT Working Party on Red Cell Immunogenetics and Blood Group Terminology.
